Merkalie is a space for p2p exchange for the alternative & solidarity economy to connect and share. We are nurturing an exchange that is based on mutualism, reciprocity and interdependence, where we support each others learning and development. We come from an experiential learning lense.

We are building taking from the principles of permaculture, free and open source software, community-supported agriculture, community land trusts, cooperatives and other similar systems that provide frameworks for more horizontal structures. In doing this we foster a space that links each of us across our communities and work through our values.

Merkalie combines two Esperanto words: merkato meaning “market” and alie which means “other”.

Merkalie is a project of The Collective for Liberation, Ecology, and Technology (CoLET).
